We are seeking a Telecommunications Designer who is highly motivated and who has a degree from a university or community college with an acceptable specialization in computer science, electrical or electronic systems engineering or information systems.

As a Telecommunications Designer, you will ensure that the telecommunications systems not only meet the operational and business requirements but are specified, selected and verified to meet safety requirements by ensuring continuous, uninterrupted service to our customers.

Areas of responsibility include: requirements analysis and requirements coordination, impact assessments, system design, system performance, system integration, system safety, and system security design.

What we’re looking for:

• Degree from a recognized university or community college with an acceptable specialization in computer science, electrical or electronics systems engineering or information systems.
• Experience in the planning, design and implementation of telecommunications network systems.
• Experience in configuring and testing IP networks in a test bed or production environment.
• Experience in the development of specifications, standards and procedures.
• Experience in configuring or testing TDM networks would be an asset.


• Knowledge and understanding of principles, practices and technology in the field of computer systems, data and voice communications.
• Knowledge of networking, communication standards and protocols
• Knowledge of network design and testing methodologies and processes from preliminary design to testing and acceptance


• Ability to analyze, investigate, evaluate, make decisions and implement solutions.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;
• Ability to plan and organize tasks and assignments.
• Individual is able to work independently with a minimum of direction and supervision and as a team member.
